carlosjust in case you wonder, after sleeping (that's a really good idea when is late and things doesn't work...), I found that Tryton was not finding my party_comment module, some files cleanup and a new hg clone solved the issue....10:24
yangooncarlos: which files did you cean up?10:42
yangoonjust becuase I had similar issues already, too, that I suppose to be cache related.10:43
yangoonI had restarted server and client several times, to no avail.10:44
yangoonRestarting the machine helped in some cases. But I couldn't reproduce those issues.10:44
carlosyangoon: well, I used a sym link to another folder10:52
carlosso I removed it and did a proper hg clone10:52
carlosyangoon: if you are getting the problem... I suspect that I was just lucky enough to get it randomly fixed10:53
carloswhich is bad news...10:53
carlosyangoon: did you see cedk's comment to get debugging information from the rpc messages ?10:54
carlosyangoon: just to be sure that you are getting the same problem I got10:54
yangooncarlos: yes, saw it, will try next time, for the moment all is working well over here10:55
yangooncarlos: could also be several unrelated problems, sometimes I just had the impression of files being cached, not by tryton, but by the system10:57
yangooncarlos:  and perhaps could be also path problems like here
carlosyangoon: in fact... that sounds a lot like the problem I had, or at least the scenario I had and changed to get it fixed....10:59
CIA-2carlos roundup * #1133/Autoreload: ImportError: No module named ...:11:07
CIA-2This problem looks like the one I had yesterday with my party_comment module.11:07
CIA-2After trying several things, I removed the link and did a proper ...11:07
CIA-2matb roundup * #1141/Selection of owner for new calendar: [new] When selecting the owner for a new calendar, the search is empty, when the user(s) have no email defined.11:12
-!- yangoon( has joined #tryton11:21
yangoonbechamel: thx for tracking down yesterday the problems with caldav12:00
bechamelyangoon: no prob, thanks for testing :)12:01
yangoonbechamel: i created a new database with new calendar setup and now I am seeing all events/tasks created in tryton12:01
bechamelyangoon: ok12:01
yangoonbechamel: but one problem persists: the events created in iceowl/icedove are vanishing there, but htey appear correctly in tryton12:02
yangoonbechamel: i have two calendars, one for admin, one for dav1, both have email12:03
bechamelyangoon: strange12:04
yangoonadmin has write and read permissions on both calendars (I think it shouldn't be needed if he is the owner of the calendar, but to be sure, I added him)12:04
bechamelthere are available via firefox ?12:05
yangoonbechamel: yes12:05
bechamelyangoon: and todo's are working ?12:06
yangoonbechamel: same as with events12:06
yangoonbechamel: if they are created in tryton they are displayed in iceowl12:06
yangoonbechamel: if they are created in iceowl, they are only displayed in tryton12:07
bechamelyangoon: the result of "select * from calendar_event" (with at least one event created from tryton and one from iceowl) should give us an idea of what's happenning12:09
bechamelyangoon: so you create an event in iceowl with nothing particular, and once saved it disappear ?12:17
yangoonbechamel: exactly12:17
yangoonbechamel: events with summary simple are such events12:18
bechamelyangoon: you are using sqlite ?12:21
yangoonbechamel: no12:22
CIA-2Mathias Behrle <> default * 13:4ddf6e3a2cdc purchase_invoice_line_standalone/ Update translation for de_DE12:25
bechamelyangoon: very strange, I don't see any difference with the data in my db12:38
yangoonbechamel: should I send you the whole db?12:39
bechamelyangoon: yes I will try to reproduce the issue with it12:41

bechamelyangoon: I reproduced in some way your error, but it was not a bug: I created an event and it disappeared but it was because the current calendar was non-active, once I highlighted the good calendar, the event where created correctly14:45
bechamelyangoon: oh and another source of issue is that icowl keep the login/password in cache, so when i drop a calendar and that after i re-create another one iceowl doesn't for the password, so it's a problem if i want to acces it with other credentials14:47
yangoonbechamel: just deactivated and activated the calendar, but no change14:48
bechamelyangoon: and when you create an event it's on the good calendar ? (the 2nd selection on the event form)14:50
bechamelyangoon: here i was able to create event on the dav1 calendar from iceowl with the admin user and with the dav1 user14:52
yangoonbechamel: yes, definitely, and I have them also in tryton, so it must be one of the dav calendars14:52
bechamelyangoon: I used this patch when i started devs to understand the calls made by iceowl:, this may help you14:56
CIA-2ced roundup * #1133/Autoreload: ImportError: No module named ...: Is all the links are absolute path link and not relative?14:56
CIA-2matb roundup * #1133/Autoreload: ImportError: No module named ...: Yes, all links are absolute paths.14:59
yangoonbechamel: for testing with another dav client I tried to connect with davfs: I get
yangoonbechamel: I remember having it already working, despite performance was poor15:20
yangoonbechamel: http debug log:
-!- woakas(n=woakas@ has joined #tryton15:24
bechamelyangoon: I'm gonna check15:25
yangoonbechamel: httpbody debug:
yangoonbechamel: really weird: as soon as I am modifying events (created in tryton) in iceowl they disappear, too15:44
yangoonbechamel: as soon as I am modifying the event once again, it says actualization conflict15:45
yangoonbechamel: if I confirm to overwrite the event, the former (fisrt) change is lost15:46
yangoonbechamel: it boils down to the fact, that setting field vevent = Null makes reappear those events in iceowl15:58

jerojasrohi all. I need to handle employees, and represent their positions in a company. is there any module that does this? I've checked party and company, and neither of them handle that17:39
cedkjerojasro: not to my knowledge, but it is easy to add a field position on employee17:43
cedkjerojasro: but it depends of course of what you do with this information17:43
jerojasrook. I kind of expected that. thanks!17:43
jerojasroI need to keep track of the employee's position to know what kind of tasks is possible to assign to each one. nothing fancy, actually17:44
bechameljerojasro: employee have categories actually17:48
jerojasrobechamel: yeah, but an employee can have more than one category; but in a company you (at least in theory) have only one position17:51
bechameljerojasro: yes17:52
cedkjerojasro: I think you should add a list of service product on employee to add a domain to limit the assignation on project17:53

carloscedk: btw, what would you think about merging my party_comment module inside party directly for 1.4?18:45
cedkcarlos: why? it is better to be modular18:49
carlosjust to add an extra field?18:49
carlosok, I thought it may be an overhead...18:50
CIA-2carlos roundup * #1133/Autoreload: ImportError: No module named ...:18:53
CIA-2For the problem I had, it's absolute too.18:53
CIA-2However, my development computer is using relative links without any obvious problem...18:53
cedkcarlos: you can ask to be include in the "official" tree19:04
carlosyeah, I'm going to do it19:04
carlosthat's why I thought about including it in the party module first19:05
carloscedk: is the procedure different from a patch? or we just push the whole tree on the code review system and handle it as a patch review?19:05
carlosACTION is also going to request the same inclusion for the Spanish chart of account, so wants to be sure to use the right procedure19:06
cedkcarlos: just open an issue with a link to the repo19:08
