marc0sshould i mark my module's strings as 'translatable'? i export the csv for my module and it's empty, it just contains the header line20:57
bechamelmarc0s: hi, you have to translate the module name (and description) in __tryton__.py20:58
marc0sbechamel: hi :)20:59
marc0sbechamel: ok20:59
marc0sbechamel: uhm... it still just contains one line with "type,name,res_id,src,value,fuzzy"21:01
marc0sbechamel: should i define the translation csv file before doing the export as well?21:02
marc0s(althoug there is no translated string in it...)21:02
marc0smy fault... i didn't run the sync translations wizard21:05
marc0ssolved!21:05
marc0s:)21:05
bechamelmarc0s: btw what is your module for ?21:06
marc0sbechamel: it's for an insurances company, car and health insurances mainly21:07
marc0sbechamel: by now it just is a placeholder for customers (plain party module) and a few data for the insurances they have issued (type, party and start/end dates)21:07
bechamelmarc0s: ok21:08
marc0sbechamel: hope they ask for more stuff once they see the power of an erp :)21:09
bechamelmarc0s: yes, it's a bit overkill to use Tryton just to store some contacts and dates :)21:10
marc0sbechamel: sure ;)21:11
plantianHi, maybe I have asked this before but I forget, is it possible to customize the behaviour of search fields?  Such as simple and advanced search of products.21:38
udonoplantian: Hi, do you mean http://doc.tryton.org/1.8/trytond/doc/ref/models/fields.html#trytond.model.fields.Field.select ?21:40
plantianudono: Sort of, is it possible to alter how the search is actually performed though?  For example when I search product name I want the words I type to all be separately matched against names.  So that "Wil Ian" matches "Ian Wilson".21:42
plantianDoes that make sense?21:42
udonoplantian: You mean a kind of 'Wil* or Ian'21:43
udono?21:43
udonoplantian: AFAIK Wildcards like % and _ are allowed. But I do not think that 'or' is allowed. I guess, 'Wil Ian' won't match Ian Wilson.21:46
plantianudono: Oh wow ha, I had no idea wild card worked.21:47
udonoplantian: But you can overwrite the search method...21:47
plantianudono: I have done that but it does not seem to be respected in Products search screen.21:48
plantianudono: I think in this case wild card is all I need in addition to all the other fields.21:48
plantianI don't actually need the names backwards like that, at least most of the time.21:49
plantianha I wish I knew about wild card 3 months ago21:50
udonoplantian: You can mimic an individual search behavior with a wizard. With this you can evaluate the given data like you want. You can build your own domain and search for it, open new tab show result.21:50
udonoplantian: I am unsure if wildcards are working. I hav'nt tested them a long time.21:51
plantianudono: I have a wizard where you enter text into a search box and then I search but it is horribly slow and works with on_change so there is no notification to the user while it is working.21:52
plantianudono: http://www.laspilitas.com/tryton/full-lookup.jpg21:52
plantianudono:  The wildcard works in search as far as I can tell, I just tried it on my setup.21:52
plantianAt least on whatever trunk version I'm using from the last month or two.21:52
udonoplantian: yes, good to know, thanks for feedback.21:53
udonoplantian: I have no other idea. Maybe find out why it takes so long, and try to optimize?21:56
plantianudono: Thanks, I will see if % is enough though then I don't need the weird wizard front-end and can just go straight from product search to lookup.21:59
udonogood luck!22:00
