fmorato[m]In a hierarchical tree view, such as categories and accounts, if I select a record and then click in create a new record, this new record has as parent the parent of the previously selected record. It seems that it would be more intuitive if the parent on the new record would be the previously selected record instead of its parent. Was this clear? Is there a reason for the current behaviour?11:34
fmorato[m]It seems to me*11:34

cedkfmorato[m]: then how do you create children records?11:52
fmorato[m]cedk: I usually have to clear the parent field and select the one I want.11:53
fmorato[m]ie. If I am creating the first child of a record11:54
cedkfmorato[m]: with current behaviour, you can add a record anywhere without having to change the value11:56

fmorato[m]cedk: Do you mean by adding a child to the children field? Otherwise I haven't understood how to do it.12:13
cedkfmorato[m]: no you can create a toplevel record by selecting nothing or a record under any record by selecting it12:45
cedkwait, indeed I think the justification is to have the same behavior as when it is a list12:48
