mrichezhi, wondering how to use e-mail templates ? Where is it used ? 09:08
udonomrichez: We use it a lot for default communications. Wrinting and sendin an invoice, quotation, purchase order. You can enable the templates for a model and add reports automagically. The body and subject can use variables from record. 09:20
udonomrichez: once you create templates for a model and you go to a view of this model, open the email button in toolbar, you cann choose the template in a dialog.09:22
udonomrichez: HIH09:22
mrichezudono: ok,  thanks for explanations :-) 09:23
mrichezwhat is the condition for translating email from template ? user language or party lang ?09:30
udonomrichez: afaik it is the party lang. But not sure.09:31
mrichezudono: just looking code, it seems user language...09:33

pokolimrichez: for email temlats is the user language because the user is the one who will read the template and send it to the recipient09:47
mrichezpokoli: i would be more logical to use language of the recipient for the subject and the body of the mail , no ?09:49
pokolimrichez: I do not have a clear stataement about what would be more logical09:50
pokolibecause the user may not understand the language of the recipient09:50
udonoit would be more logical to present the email in user language to the user and send it for each recipient in the recipient language…09:51
mrichezpokoli: in our case it's about the languages we allow to translate in tryton, so user is suppose to understand... in our case french/english in most of case... so i thought when sending email using template to a french party, body text will be in french and when sending to an english party, body text will be in english09:53
udonomrichez: to is a list of recipients…09:54
udono"To" is a …09:54
pokoliudono: the problem is that the user is allowed (even expected) to update the template text, so we can not auto translate it to another language09:55
mrichezudono: in the template, i'm only selecting one recipient : party, confirmed_by, etc..09:55
udonopokoli: yes, we are missing emblems on translate button to indicate fuzzy or missing translations.09:58
udonopokoli: and some kind of translation required could be useful.09:59
udonomrichez: But you can also select a method which could return a list of recipients.10:01
mrichezudono: ok10:02
udonomrichez: But the default methods I looked up in sale and purchase are returning many2one.10:03
