nicoeyangoon: ping11:16
yangoonnicoe: pong11:46
nicoeyangoon: we had a talk with a customer today and he asked us why 2.4 is not in wheezy11:48
nicoeyangoon: something prevented you to create the packages ?11:49
yangoonnicoe: wheezy is frozen11:49
yangoonI had to decide at the time, if 2.4 could be expected to be stable enoudh to be included in Debian stable11:50
nicoeyangoon: you do not consider it stable enough ?11:50
yangoonnicoe: in my experience it will need (as the past releases) two mor bugfix releases to be considered really stable11:51
yangoonnicoe: I anounced one more bugfix releas for the current 2.2 in wheezy and this will be accepted11:52
yangoonfinally it is no problem11:52
yangoonthe packages are uploaded to experimental11:52
yangoonnicoe: so 2.4 is perfectly well available from experimental11:53
nicoeyangoon: he knows but I suppose he only installs debian stable and would have prefered 2.4 instead of 2.211:53
pilouthe problem will be the same for 2.611:54
piloumaybe backports could be used ?11:54
yangoonnicoe: there will probabaly backports availabale from, but no one can even predict, when debian wheezy will be released11:54
nicoehe said that there is an exception period where packages can be included even if they were not present a the time of the freeze11:56
nicoehe also proposed to help you advocate it if you think this can be done11:56
pilounicoe: the problem will the same for next tryton release11:57
yangoonpilou: +1, and that is why we are free with to offer whatever we want11:58
yangoonthe debain release cycle and the tryton release cycle will never match11:58
nicoepilou: I don't understand why11:58
nicoewhat is the debian release cycle ?11:58
nicoeIsn't it "When it's ready" ?11:59
piloubecause tryton 2.6 will not be in squeeze and customer will cry again :)11:59
yangooncurrently debian tries to do time based freezes, which is new12:02
yangoonbut finally it is still  when it is ready, which depends on open RC bugs12:02
yangoonnicoe: your customer wants to run squeeze?12:02
nicoeyangoon: wheezy12:03
yangoonnicoe: what is the problem to take the packages from the same maintainers from experimental?12:03
pilouyangoon: note that i am interested in having tryton 2.4 in bpo and I can help build the packages for bpo, i don't know very well and i need mentoring12:04
nicoeI suppose he prefers to use official stable packages12:04
yangoonpilou: it is in the pipeline12:05
nicoeBut I was not aware of the existance of debian.tryton.org12:05
yangoonpilou: I will talk with dba, when he is back from debconf12:05
nicoeIt might be OK with him12:05
pilouyangoon: ok, let me know if i can help12:05
yangoonpilou: of course, thx12:06
nicoeyangoon: anyway we will probably need a helping hand to create a debian packages for a specific module for him, we'll get in touch then ...12:06
yangoonnicoe: no problem, we are doing it everyday for our customers, too12:07
nicoeyangoon: thanks12:07

lukiohello, i have a wizard with two StateView. At second view some fields are required=True. If I want to go-back to the first view and I didn't write some text at my fields, I can't because the fields are required=True. any idea to solve this problem? thanks21:29
lukiohello ?22:18
smarrolukio: maybe if you don't use the required=True, and check the values of the fields in the transition methods...22:40
lukiowell, finally i do something like smarro tell me and I throw an raise_user_error if some field is measing.23:30
