X0d_of_N0dvengfulsquirrel: so from my reading it seems like there only need to be two types of boms, modular (which is essentially a normal bom) and configurable02:00
X0d_of_N0dvengfulsquirrel: but in our software there are 4 or 5 different types of boms, and in other software I see even more02:01
X0d_of_N0dvengfulsquirrel: have you seen anything in your reading that validates the different types of boms, or are they just constructs of software companies?02:01
X0d_of_N0dACTION decides to go home02:07
vengfulsquirrelhey02:13
vengfulsquirrelX0d_of_N0d: test test02:14
vengfulsquirrelX0d_of_N0d: Yeah the models book refers to a marketing BOM(which is more like Product Kits), engineering BOM(Abstract Specs), manufacturing BOM(Normal BOM), inventory BOM(for servicing deployed products whose parts are frequently substituted and/or replaced).  Do you use seperate engineering BOMs from Manufacturing BOMs?02:45
-!- ikks(n=igor@190.12.153.202) has joined #tryton02:45
vengfulsquirrelX0d_of_N0d: Additionally, a configurable BOM is more like a BOM to help in building a custom computer right ?  I think actually for the first step we only need the modular BOM, Materials Requirements Planning will actually only work with the modular BOM since you must estimate the number of configurations of a configurable bom that need to be satisfied anyways.02:45

udonobechamel: hello12:44
udonobechamel: did the test on stock_location need a very long time?12:44
udonobechamel: for me it looks like it is an infinite regress...12:45
udonobechamel: now Iam over 800 Lines in stock_location12:45
bechameludono: hello12:50
udonobechamel: ... over 900 lines12:50
bechameludono: i 800 seems a lot12:50
udonobechamel: :-)12:50
bechameludono: maybe there is a infinite loop12:51
udonobechamel: it seems so12:51
udonobechamel: or it is a hard regression test you produce ;-)12:51
bechameludono: moreover the test doesn't do something else apart creating locations12:51
udonobechamel: yes, I've seen, but maybe it wenr into struggle with the parents12:52
bechameludono: the test was created by cedk, not me :)12:52
udonobechamel: ok.12:53
yangoonbechamel: hi12:53
yangoonbechamel: before putting an issue: how cron jobs are supposed to be created?12:53
yangoonbecause there is no input for model and function12:54
bechamelyangoon: from xml12:54
yangoonbechamel: ok, wouldn't it make sense to allow admin to create such jobs from the UI?12:55
bechamelyangoon: not really, the methods called by crons are especially crafted for it, so i don't see what other cron can be added from the ui12:56
yangoonbechamel: yes, IC, thx12:58

cristi_ancedk: very short question20:06
cristi_andon't take as offense since is compared to open erp.20:07
cristi_anthey have for windowa a all in one install20:07
cristi_anclient ,server + postgres20:07
cristi_anis that a hard thing to do for tryton ?20:07
ikkscristi_an, afaik the effort is not easy20:10
ikksand the time is better used doing other things20:10
ikksFor example, the portable client20:10
ikksHaving tryton on windows (server+postgresql)20:10
cristi_anthe client is portable afaik20:11
ikkssomething really cool over something unrealiable20:11
ikksportable means zero install20:11
ikkstryton client is zero install20:12
ikksopenerp afaik is not.20:12
ikksYou need to install it.20:12
ikksgtg20:12
cristi_anyes that is what i say the client is portable20:12
cristi_ancu20:12
cristi_anthx20:12
cristi_anthis zero install client rules20:16
cedkcristi_an: the all in one is not a good idea for me, embeded postgresql is a bad thing20:18
cedkwe think about a setup.exe for trytond20:18
cristi_ani am asking this things because i have a fix...since i started with tryton20:20
cristi_anthere is a niche of many many potential customes20:20
cristi_anthat are accountants20:21
udonoACTION astronews today: We from Tryton can see tonight, that the earth has full moon. Additionally the earth moon tonight is at its lowest distance this year. So the earthlings see a big moon with 30% more light then usually...20:21
cristi_anthese guys (girsl:)) use their computer only keeping books to many firms20:21
cristi_anand they do not require ner connections20:21
cristi_anso a all in one thing for them maybe is welcomed20:22
cristi_anhowever having a widnows trytod is very good20:26

cristi_ancedk: the night is coming and i have crazy thought :)22:30
cristi_ancedk: related to client (gtk one)22:30
cristi_anis not possible (in the future) the gtk cliet to receive the same response as a browser gets ?22:31
cristi_anand based on taht to render the gtk client22:31
cristi_anso to act like a browser but with gtk controls22:31
cristi_ani guess is a matter of adapting the client parser..+ many many other things22:32
cedkcristi_an: I don't see any benefit, only that it will slow down the connection22:32
cristi_ancedk: if the client will continue to be as fast as it is agree22:33
cristi_anhope it will...my only fear is large amount of data.. but soon i will do a stress test22:33
cristi_angood night thx22:34
