udonoHi, what is the 'best' way to include the search of a many2many related record? A user would like to search in the party list for parties with specific categories. Is there any example? (BTW I know about "parties by categories" but I want to search in the list view)19:30
udonoa select="1" in the field definition of the many2many field seems not to work.19:31
-!- rpit(~ralf@dslb-088-071-236-014.088.071.pools.vodafone-ip.de) has joined #tryton19:39
prksh:udono select is used for different purpose, probably indexing20:11
udonoprksh: Thanks, I see it changed over the versions: http://doc.tryton.org/1.8/trytond/doc/ref/models/fields.html#select20:14
prksh:udono yap20:15
udonoSo my actual try is having a function field type char with getter and searcher and having the field with tree-invisible.20:16
udonoand the search value must be evaluated manualy...20:16
prksh:udono I would do the same :)20:32
udonoprksh: cool, works20:43
udonoprksh: thanks for feedback20:44
prksh:udono cool :)20:44

JonLevyIs there a place I can see the list of available button icons?  E.g., I've seen tryton-go-next and tryton-go-previous.  Is there a list of the available ones (preferably with pictures to show what they look like)?21:27

-!- tazle(tazle@kapsi.fi) has joined #tryton23:26
tazleis there a tutorial somewhere for getting from a virtualenv with trytond installed in it to having trytond running and configured so that you can actually connect to it?23:29
tazlei.e. setting up the database and telling trytond to use it23:29
tazleit seems that I should have a configuration file, but trytond doesn't ship with one23:35
tazlebut apparently it's available in hg23:36
JonLevy@tazle, the database connection is set in trytond.conf, which, in the normal directory tree, is located at trytond/etc/trytond.conf23:36
tazlehttps://code.google.com/p/tryton/wiki/SetupAndStart also seems like it will be helpful once I manage to start trytond with an appropriate configuration23:38
JonLevy@tazle, you also might want check out http://tryton-documentation.readthedocs.org/en/latest/installation_configuration/database_management.html23:39
tazleJonLevy: should something at tryton.org point to tryton-documentation.readthedocs.org?23:41
JonLevy@tazle, it sounds like you are needing to set the db parameters in trytond.conf and then pass that file to the trytond invocation.23:42
tazleJonLevy: yes23:42
JonLevytazle: The readthedocs documentation is not part of the official Tryton project, but is a separate effort.  I think that's why it isn't reference.23:45
JonLevytazle: What is your setup so far?  A typical call to start the deamon is (from the bin folder) 'trytond -c ../etc/trytond.conf".  The database connection information is in the .conf file.23:50
tazleJonLevy: just getting a feel of tryton23:50
JonLevytazle: It can be hard to get started, but the community is really helpful.23:54
tazlewell, a tutorial for getting from zero to running instance with sqlite backend would be helpful23:55
tazleit didn't seem to be *hard*, just almost totally undocumented23:55
JonLevytazle: The project is advancing very quickly in capabilities, which has made documentation difficult--what is written quickly becomes incorrect.  Documentation is always a challenge.23:59
