thomassgnI think I am doing something wrong :P I have a running trytond and tryton running on my localmachine to get to know it better. But wheres the accounting and invoicing and so on; do I have to set it up, or is it accessible from some other place (i.e. webinterface)?07:44
thomassgnheh, lol. I see now that it is written practically everywhere that tryton is a framework, yet I've seen it in a comparison with openerp and thought it was more of an application :P08:08
thomassgnare there any good/quick ways of getting to somewhere I can start using it as a non dev? (I'll  keep looking around the tutorials++)08:09

thomassgnudono: basically the dev part of doc. right?09:01
thomassgnI mean that's where the juicy parts are09:02
udonothomassgn: Did you install some tryton modules on your OS?09:03
udonothomassgn: no, dev part is for developing only. IIUC you just want to try Tryton.09:04
thomassgnudono: I haven't even thought about there being modules :P hah. I can install something like 79 modules from here it looks like. Thanks, I should have thought of it when I landed in the module config part of the tryton client09:20
udonothomassgn: If you just want to test Tryton easily, consider the demo server: http://www.tryton.org/download.html#demo09:22

OmkHi, we have have installed & configured Tryton 3.0.0 with inventory and stock modules installed & enabled.18:08
OmkNow we woul like to enter the intial stock of products in the system. What is the right way of doing that? Should we just enter it as "inventory", or as "supplier shipment"?18:09
OmkWhat is the best way to ensure the correct inventory moves, as well as correct behaviour in the accounting module?18:10
nicoeOmk: you should do an inventory18:13
Omknicoe: so what difference does it make wheter it is entered as supplier shipment, or as inventory?18:14
nicoeOmk: The inventory create moves from the lost+found location to your locations, the supplier shipments creates them from the supplier locations18:19
Omkok great, thanks18:20
nicoeOmk: One has no accounting impact the other one might have.18:20
nicoeMoreover that is what you are doing.18:20
Omknicoe: Yes. Ok. Just wanted to make sure what is the right way doing it.18:24
Omk2nd point: How to handle promotional products, damaged products & internal use?18:29
-!- vcardon(~vcardon@LNeuilly-152-23-15-185.w193-252.abo.wanadoo.fr) has left #tryton18:29
Omk Suppose the company sends sample products to a party for testing / review, free of charge. What is the best way of doing that? Sale with price list creating zero value invoice?18:30
OmkFor damaged products I suppose creating a stock move to lost+found will remove the value from the stock and the products can be discarded.18:31
OmkHow about internal use of products?18:31
